Playa Pos Spano, Curaçao

Boca Pos Spaño is located on the private property of San Nicolaas Abou.

The property is closed with a barrier, so you need to arrange access in advance and obtain the key. It is recommended to plan two dives on this property if you have the key.

Boca Pos Spaño is the easternmost dive site on the property. The name "Pos Spaño" means "Spanish well," and there is apparently a freshwater spring here or was in the past. This may be what you see on the eastern side of the beach, where there is a small pond with algae. The pond does not appear to be connected to the sea, as the beach lies between them. It also looks like freshwater.

The beach is wide but covered with coral rock. You enter the water from the beach, looking for a spot where there is not too much coral close to shore. If the sea is rough, it can be difficult to enter and exit the water due to the (dead) coral near the shore. Be careful.
